USCIS announced today that the April 1 Returning Worker cap has officially been reached.
While most of our Group F clients made it through, we know a few did not receive the outcome they were hoping for. That said, planning ahead matters—those who submitted backup May 1 applications are already in motion.
The Department of Labor has begun processing May 1 filings, with timelines only about 3–4 weeks behind the April 1 petition submissions. That means earliest worker arrivals are still expected around mid-June.
Not the result everyone wanted—but a strong reminder that having a backup plan keeps your workforce plans on track.
