On Tuesday, Aztec Labor clients Jeff Reid and Travis Jenkins from Louisiana joined Aztec Labor Strategist Matt Bare in meeting with Senator Cassidy to discuss the critical importance of the H-2B program for small businesses across Louisiana and the nation. Representing Integrity, TigerGreen, Willowgrove, and Earthworks Pro, they emphasized the need for Certified Seasonal Employer language to help long-time H-2B users secure the workforce they depend on.
This designation would exempt qualified employers from the current visa cap and lottery system, allowing small businesses to reliably fill entry-level seasonal positions where U.S. workers are unavailable. In turn, these businesses can continue growing, creating more higher-level jobs for American workers, and strengthening local economies. The H-2B program remains a vital tool for seasonal employers — now it’s up to Congress to support them.
